The Cultural Change of Manhood
THE CULTURAL CHANGE OF MANHOOD.

As in the past and the present men are measured by accomplish success. Power, money, parenting, courage and accepting responsibilities. They are thought to cage in emotions to avoid being labeled as weak. When these emotions are suppressed they manifest in other forms that can hurt them and others throughout their life. It’s a dysfunctional trauma. Man is constantly in pursuit of what he will leave behind as his legacy. This contributes to the superior egos they form of themselves. Do all men have the willingness and devotion? No, then they are judge as less than a man. The ones with expense cars, beautiful house wives, most toys and riches are the winners of manhood. Man spends his life striving to define his legacy giving meaning to his life before he’s past his prime or dies. Women are god gifted with their legacy at birth, the ability to create a child. Ask any successful women what is their greatest fulfilling achievement and they will state the birth of their children, Female CEO, First lady Etc. Their greatest fulfillment is the birth of a child they will nurture with love. Sure today many men help parent their children in ways that was not “manly” in the past. Still they cannot grow a child inside a womb then suffer the pain and joy of delivering that child. No amount of success a man can accumulate can equal the ability to birth a child. So he chases to define his legacy in the material world. To impress a partner he must be funny, good looking, good job, considerate, compassionate, non-judge mental, a good father, willing to compromise, loving, communicator, good listener non demanding. These values are all derived from learning to speak and express emotions as a child, but yet we are still living in the past. In order to convert the culture of manhood we must allow our boys to express emotions, deduce what causes a painful emotion, something happen or exist within himself. Then teach them emotions are a heightened feeling to be confronted, questioned and understood as something that must past. Instead we tell them be strong boys don’t cry, keep it to yourself, cage it in. When we should be listening in order to impart knowledge on how to recognize his discomfort. Except and release this emotion and leave it behind. Our lives are filled with pain and suffering from emotions. For centuries manhood has demanded they must be strong and cage their feelings for his emotional discomfort. Change of this antiquated method must occur. To change the culture of manhood it must start as a young child and on to his teens and the results will flourish in our future decades..
