Turtle Dove
Walking through this darkness God reminds me that we are the light,
And many times during my weakness I try to regain the strength to fight,
When all of my thoughts are cluttered with fear,
I think of who God's got running up the deer,
There are few and far between well spoken of moments here,
That have hardened my heart to the point that I can barely force a tear,
And although I am choking on this need to release my pain,
I have to hold it together and continue to maintain,
I push the sadness I feel far past my own sight,
Because even after the day is gone there still remains the night,
So then when all hope and optomizim is drained loose,
I pray desperately for a way to be unleashed from this noose,
I dig deep inside, past the regret of my losses,
And begin to choose to look past all this faulsness,
That deceives us all that we've taken a loss,
In that the prayers we pray have no cost,
And find a picture perfect moment hidden in time spent with you,
That springs hope inside of me of the love we will renew.
