Depersonalization
Believed, I did. The life I’d lead would change all that I’d find.
Yet as I grew in wisdom learned, “it’s only in your mind”.
A mind that grips each waking morn; to justify the day and set me a scenario, the character I’d play.
One day I woke, no thought was there, no character to play.
Stuck in myself, I searched for truth and existed there that way.
My days did grow to lifetime; least all that I discerned.
My loneliness encompass’ me; of companionship I yearn.
Search all the world to cure me; leave not, a stone unturned.
Try hard to understand me; of this you all must learn.
For “all the world’s a stage” you see; I’ve known and do believe.
Beware oh you my brethren; be not trapped by what you perceive.
