Doctor’s Orders
Symptoms:
Staring into empty space
Sad and lonely
Needing someone to listen
A trusted friend, if only
Prognosis:
Used and abused by so-called friends
Tension and stress over load
Lack of confidence
The result of wrong turn roads
Prescription:
Compose words of poetic verse
Post poetry on Poetry.net
Repeat as necessary
When symptoms refuse to exit
Doctor’s orders:
Face your fears
Stand your ground
Invest in self-pride
Write it all down
