I Could Be Holding You
Donald James Kirby Von Koehler 1965 (Burien)
I could be holding you
I love You, I need You, I want you in my life,
I see you, I feel You, You take away my strife.
It's easy to carry on with you by my side,
It's hard for me to find words to express my pride.
You're everything, the world to me, I exist to make you smile,
You are the passion flower, my only power to go the extra mile.
Every Reason I have to become the best that I can be,
Starts in the flame in your eyes of love, warmth that sets me free.
If beauty is in the eye of the beholder I could be holding you,
I'm mesmerized and fascinated, even awestruck by all you do.
One thing I can say is certain, I'd love to be holding you,
your beauty is beyond me, It captures me through and through.
I'd live a lifetime waiting, for with you, love it's all worthwhile,
I'd travel any distance if it led me to your smile.
You are the only one that understands just what I need,
You are my greatest desire, the hunger of my heart you feed.
Unique is your gentle style, I'm lost by the softness of your touch,
wrap your loving arms around me, I long you way too much.
Passion how it blinds me, my soul cries out for your kiss,
memories of tomorrow yet to be made, soon we'll reminisce.
My dreams come so alive for me thinking, I could be holding you,
Everything I have longed to ever see, is in your love anew.
My senses are in utopia my belief, I could be holding you,
has me in a state of euphoria. my head in the sunny sky so blue.
