I Come With Instructions...

I Come with Instructions...

Upon looking at the package you notice a few scuff marks, a dent or two, a tear here and there....But you decide I might be worth a closer look... If you dare.... You gently touch the package with great care.

Looks can be deceiving... So, you decide to stay... What is inside the package is what matters most.... Heart, Soul, Spirit Sass, and Spunk - I don't want to boast... "Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it" - Confucius did say... So upon further inspection you see past the wrapping, the ribbon, and the bows anyway...

So as  the story goes forward. The tape holding the package together is withered, old, and barely on. The tape has lost its stick and barely adheres to the gift... You gently admire this gift as the ribbon you lift...

Thoughts plague your mind as to the horrors this package has overcame, tis defined. Many hands have held this package - but not one has ever opened the
damaged goods you see... No one was interested in the gift in me - I decree...

As you unbind the gift, removing the ribbon of green silk. You hold your breath, hoping not to further damage this package before you. You milk the unbinding of said gift. With each layer slowly removed - your spirits lift....

To your dismay you reach the fractured heart of the package... The heart is wrapped in tattered binding... You, scowling, begin unwinding this binding... Hoping the heart of the package is not broken and battered.

Holding your breath, knowing that any minute this precious thing filled with exquisite bounty could dissolve into the abyss of nothingness. Gone as quickly as it appeared before thee. You get down to business taking your time  slowly to expose just how profoundly rich the bounty is, you see...

You notice writing on the binding... Instructions you are unwinding. Old, faded, signed in red. Appears to be old blood you dread. This is what the writing.
said.... I am a woman, a lady, a girl. I am exquisite like a pearl. I must be polished, loved, coddled, cuddled, and fed. I must be praised, nurtured, wanted, and loved with all your heart. I am a masterpiece. Gods beautiful work of art.

You let out a slow long breath realizing you just gave your heart away. A lost  abused, ignored, damaged gift this day took your heart like a thief it does seem. “I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity.” “All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream," stated Edgar Allen Poe....

You close your eyes as you gradually fade away....
You see... The abuser of said package shot you in the head this sad day.... This beautiful gift was never yours to have this way, night or day. All you think is how beautiful the tattered package was as you recall Poe repeating the words "a dream within a dream....a dream within a dream... a dream within a dream...

Ringggggg - Ringggggg - Ringggggg....
You hear your voicemail pick up the call.... "Where are you? This is your boss... You need to get to work....You are late." You realize that very moment it was only a dream .... You scream "I'm on my way” as you jump out of bed. Your body feels like lead - As you scurry to get ready for work in a hurry....

You quickly head to your front door to leave. The words a dream within a dream by Poe keeps repeating in your head, “WHY?” you utter with a sigh. You open the door, and you gasp…. You freeze not believing what you see… Before you is the most wonderous sight… The package was there before you. No longer old worn and tattered … Your gift was an Angel, and she was sent to free you from hate and to bring you through heaven’s gate. When you freed your heart to love a tattered abused gift, you gave your soul the release it needed to lift your spirit to heaven filled with love and not hate...

On this day Free advice, I send... Things are not always what they appear to be.
Have a Blessed Day my friend... Please Love, don’t hate - for an old tattered gift may be your blessing in disguise. With loving goodwill, I extend... Be Wise…
