I Yam

I'm not an arsonist, so I'll burn no bridges,
I'm not a runner, so I'll run no ridges,
I'm not an artist, so I'll paint no pictures,
I'm not a plumber, so I won't be a fixture.

I'm not a green thumb-er, so I promise no rose garden,
I'm not a warden, so no puns I'll pardon,
I'm not a broom, so I won't sweep you away,
I'm not a bed maker so, in it, I don't have to lay.

I'm not a thinker, so don't give me a penny,
I'm not a pig, so I won't be your guinea,
I'm not a golfer, so I won't par the course,
I'm not a gambler, so my hand you can't force.

I'm not in school, so I won't learn a lesson,
I'm not a guesser, so you can't keep me guessin',
I'm not much of anything, thank you ma'am,
But, I do know this, I yam what I yam!
