If I Could Be Principal

if i could be principal just for a day,
i have to say it would be without pay.
there would be no violence guns or drugs,
i'd keep out the mice rats and bugs.
all the students could bring their toys
not only the girls i'd include the boys.
we'd have pizza and soda that day for lunch
not only one serving you could have a bunch
i would not yell or send kids home,
or take away their brushes and combs.
there would be no homework quizzes or tests
no putting up with the class pests.
none of the teachers would ever yell,
or call the cops and take us to jail.
school would be over before two-thirty
it would not matter if you were dirty.
kids could run and skate through halls,
they could watch the movies titanic and jaws
i have to say it would be without pay,
if i could be principal just for a day.
