Mediterranean blues

Red has turned the Mediterranean
Glimmering like that of a sunset crimson
Whether it's dawn or dusk
Makes no difference to their task
Even embarrassed is the sun
At the sight of purple stain
And the moon beneath the shimmering skies
Fears to bath in the Mediterranean red-blues
This isn't a geographical phenomenon
But a graphic testament of man's inhumanity to man
Alongside the beach, the captives are seen
Lined up to be beheaded anon
Whether it's Iraq or Syria
Paris or Libya
Egypt or Jordan or Copenhaghen
Tentacles of terrorism reaching every region
Prostrating us before them
Not to beg for life but to be slain in mayhem
Indeed the turbulence in the region
Is frantically acquiring a frightful dimension
Oh brutal beings! Be kind to the human kind
For we are all children of the same God
Which kind of religion do you preach?
That teaches you humanity to lynch
Are you bereft of all your senses?
That refrain you not from killing your brothers and sisters
Are your hands made of iron?
And your heart nothing but a stone
Denuded of a feel
Of kindness, love, and affection supposed to be the nectar of God for all
You carry many a bad name
Like cynics and malefactors and slayers, indeed a shame
And God might be ashamed
Of creating you in His beautiful world
And shedding tears alone
“Accursed what a blunder I have done”
Whether it is east or west
You go on buiding your nest
Only meant to kill innocents
And destroy God's creations at best
Birds build and ants so organized
Never do they harm anybody, rather for peace they bleed
Oh you preachers!
Stop abrading and tearing this earth, your mother
In whose lap we are all born to make her beautiful
But, alas, to see her groaning with pains unbearable
Tears well up in our eyes seeing your mischief
That God even is ashamed of and weeps
Oh Minions of Satan,
Be kind enough to spare the humanity to oblivion
Or else, hell shall be a far cry for you even
Please do stop overwhelming this lovely world with terrorism in the name of religion
