Ode To Repentance
A stray Man weary: possessing trailing
Arms and gauntly feet. Down, his body, he
Drops. Seeking slumber out of an ailing
State. Shrouded by black pools of darkened sea:
his mind at ends tether. A Pilgrimage.
Endurance, rugged crag: his heads cushion.
Brimmed exhaustion makes for a kindly sleep.
Unaware of this holy intrusion,
his conscious state an entrancing image,
Or rather fervid frightening scrimmage?
A wondrous stairway out of Heaven, seep.
Incredulous: Bournless stretch, deluged height
Twined winnowing way, wallowing in grace.
Ascending and descending: Angels rite.
Adorning the glister of God's embrace,
Profanities defeat: conquered and fled.
Deity, self-Existent and Eternal:
I am that I am, Sacred before all.
Within grow the roots of Thy paternal
Guidance, we all part of Thy thoroughbred,
Hope that Thy righteousness evenly spread,
To work diligently in our hearts hall.
trapped in self-imposed immaturity:
petty complaints and ignorant resolve.
i long to be engulfed by purity
Edifying ember, i beg absolve?
Where lies the key that opens the palace
of Eternity. Cloddish clump of clay,
no attractive form, waiting to take shape.
Can this barren bole be cleansed of decay?
Deplete my barren brook of its callous
way, and fill my empty unbred chalice.
Let this cairn signify my growing scape.
