Or So I Thought
Angela Crabtree 1982 (maine)
I can't get you off my mind.
Every time I close my eyes I see what we were, what we used to be.
Could it only be a mirage or the fact that we were drunk?
Our eyes met and my heart melted for you once again.
Across the room I could feel your eyes on me or was it just a fabrication of my imagination
Our love was pure and real, or so I thought
I hear our song and I break down into tears
I really found someone just like you or so I thought
I realized no one can take your place
I think of moving home but am afraid to fall into the same trap
Our love was pure and real, or so I thought
Are we just fooling ourselves being apart?
