The Carnivore (old, revisited)
Now there's nothing left to consider
A vociferous bellow was smothered
By the ferocious tides of the endless ocean
The emperor and his broken mansion
So I walk to the rainforest
To give my sorrows and worries a rest
From the discrepancies of shame
Has made the categorical king lame
But at least the carnivores are staring
Whose skin and shape are endearing
Still I'm wary of this growing affection
But my heart and mind are in dissention
And I am stranded to face the tension
So I am losing in the flow of the wind
And learning to enjoy these wicked stints
When there is a mountain to climb
To toil reach and rejoice
And shuffle till a rugged track arrives
To stumble and rise for a significant life
Till it's cold and your body is bare
Your desired heat is found in their stare
So I arrive at their domain at night
Amid the beast I finish my wine
To casually initiate my plan
To court the best one for a dance
For her to take me to her land
When she'd thought I'd meet her demands
And casually present her my soul
As a puppet to fancifully control
Till each part of me is devoured
And relieved her thirst for more
But as my charade runs its course
She would not realize the foul
To inadequately reach the floor
Where I will be there to console
Until the agreeable sun soars
To slowly tame the carnivore
