The Doubter
My roommate:
I laughed and thought it strange that she had chosen to save herself for marriage,
I was loose and with almost duce little ones that could have been in a carriage.
Day and night she sat quietly and prayed to her God I could not see,
I yacked with Ole Daddy Mack who was no good for me.
Songs without a radio and music in her head,
Gazing sometimes with wonder, not knowing I myself was dead.
I did not know the love of God nor the power of His Christ,
I thought that I had it going on because people said I was nice.
Until He reached way down for me, where barely I could look up,
I knew not what great things were in the Christian cup.
