Too Much
Gone, hidden in the shadows of my grin,
In enemy arms held tight to my skin.
Beneath the gray cast of sallow hate,
Withering lonely in creases of slate.
Red poppies hang from dead morning bloom,
Throwing salt in my lovers' wounds.
Caressing the flesh of a kindred corpse,
Releasing abhorred mindless warpes.
Buried deep within rotting sod,
Holding dear to all creatures of God.
Here they come, Stiff and cold,
Marching soldiers in a mold.
White flags wave, surrendering hope,
Eyes grow tired beneath the rope.
Written in blood, Sealed with tears,
The truth well hidden beneath my fears.
Drenched in sorrow, Rained with despair,
Deliver me from this stagnant air.
As we walk through the shallow valley of death,
Lets join hands, become one breath.
As fires burn within the brim,
In violet skies we'll meet again.
Under death's wing, pain subsides.
Please bow your heads, and calm your strides.
Brisk autumn air floods my face,
ill, and pale entertwined with lace.
A river of tears creep down my cheek,
Blood rusty color sick with weak.
Between the wrinkled cold sheets of flesh,
Hollowed out, and filled with death.
I will hide behind my drunken lies,
The guilt inside me multiplies.
Empty gut, filled with pills,
Spoken words that give you chills.
Down I fall into a spiral,
Waiting for my blood to rile.
Eyes closed, thoughts still rain,
The anadote recedes my pain.
Gone, hidden in this strife,
Too much for words, Too much for life.
