My Dearest

We meet behind the rusted gate
I run to you, I cannot wait

Flowers lay on the ground, a gift for me
And I give you a new, fresh daisy

When we’re together, troubles fade away
So in your comfort I wish to stay

You’re such a good listener, so I choose
To tell you all my tales of blues

When we're together, time flies by
But you never respond, I wonder why?

Your touch is sweet, like a gentle bee
As you play with my hair and whisper softly

Or is that just the wind playing tricks on me

I thought I saw you clearly

But it's extremely dark and misty

And my mind's not very steady

Then I force myself back to reality

And remember the day you fell from the tree

Goodbye my love
Please wait for me
