The Angel in Me
Melody Moreno-Vazquez 1960 (Ashland)
Let me be sure to open your eyes...
So that you will never have to ask why.
I will ascend into heaven
That is where I will be living.
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God.
I will sing my song...a sad ballade.
I will sit on the mount of the congregation of mankind.
I will see with my eyes...
Although love will them blind.
Now I will ascend above the heights of the clouds.
I will have left death....
And I take off my shroud.
I will be likened to the most High.
If I sin, upon redemption I will fly.
My nature is sinful, I am in rebellion
My heaven is hell...that is where I live in.
It is better to reign in hell
Than to be a servant in heaven.
Jesus said, : I will make you fishers of men."
I will forgive you, should you ever sin.
I will give you rest...for making it in this world is a test.
You give life your all...you give it your best.
I will keep you, I wont let go of you
Before it is your life will be thru.
I will do what you ask in my name.
Call upon the Lord for what you want....it is plain.
Jesus will come and see you again.
He will send the holy spirit to you.
Open your hearts let His light shine thru.
He is the bread of life..
We take it and eat of it..
We will have a comforter in strife.
For the light of the world He is, and this light can shine within us and arouse love.
We live neither in Hell or Heaven above.
He is the Shepherd and the gate for His sheep....it is for us His light to keep.
The resurrection and the life are given to us free.
The way and the truth is where we shall be.
He is the vine.....
We are the leaves.
We shall grow all the days of our time.....and can live lives of love sublime.
On earth as we seek to love as we seek the light....
This is how our lives and our love will turn out right.
