What do we do here?

You've made it to GotPoetry! A place to read, write, and discuss poetry. To get started:

Submit Content - It is easy to submit poems, poetry news, poetry events and more at GotPoetry.com! That is what we thrive on here. User submitted content. Check out our submit page to see the major areas of the site that you can use to get your poetic endeavors seen.

1. Click around and get comfortable. You can find poetry news here faster than any site on the web, as well as contributions from people all around the world.

2. Browse through this WIKI and read more about what you can do here.

3. Sign up for a free GotPoetry account and begin commenting, chatting, work shopping, and writing your own poems.

4. If you're interested in Promoting something, such as your new book or CD, the Poetry Slam or Open Microphone you are involved with, or you want to share a story you think other poets would find interesting, click on the big SUBMIT graphic at the upper right of the screen.

Remember: To take full advantage of this site you have to create a user name here.

Once you are a user you'll be able to publish poetry, participate in poetry workshops in the forums, join a contests in a page slam, use your personal photo albums that you can upload to and much more.
