Analysis of Swine After Pearls

Rumor is a pearl necklace
Purchased at a discount rate
The world is your oyster
Go have yourself a clambake

Cuisine is variation
On a theme that we call taste
It satiates the tasteless
Eliminates the waste

Bake them
Fry them
Remove the gems
Mix them in a dip
Just be careful where you nibble
You might lose a fingertip

Variations of mythology
On themes we would avoid
Scientific stand-up satire
The comedy of Sigmund Freud

Marine biologists on dinghies
Snorkel treasures in the deep
Plumb the oceanic depths for pearls
Of wisdom they might keep

Bake them
Fry them
Remove the gems
Mix them in a dip
Just be careful where you nibble
You might lose a figertip

Water holes flush with diamond studs
Pollute pristine lagoons
A snuff bucket with pearls inlaid
Is merely a spittoon

Oyster shooters loosen tongues
Fire the ovens, gather clams
I don't care to hear the fables
Of who you think she thinks I am

Bake them
Fry them
Remove the gems
Mix them in a dip
Just be careful where you nibble
You might lose a fingertip
