Analysis of Just Say No(vocaine)

It all started out so innocently
I sat down in the dentist chair
The hygenist pried my jaws apart
And the doc, he peeped in there
He said, "This'll hurt just a little bit
But helps to keep the pain dull."
He stuck a needle into my face
And he shot it completely full

Of Novocaine
To ease my pain
Novocaine
Runnin' through my veins
Novocaine
Numbin' my brain
Novocaine

Went to a party that very same night
Everybody thought I was so hip
'Cause they saw I could not feel a thing
When I bit down onto my lip
But sometime just around midnight
I started to feel my face
I ran out screaming into the night
To find another taste

Of Novocaine
To ease my pain
Novocaine
Runnin' through my veins
Novocaine
Numbin' my brain
Novocaine

Soon I was shooting my arms and legs
Double-dealin no-feelin' stuff
Shot into my neck, my stomach and back
I just could not get enough
My friends cleaned out my apartment
While I flopped around on the floor
My woman ran off with my best friend
But that's all right 'cause I just scored

Some Novocaine
To ease my pain
Novocaine
Runnin' through my veins
Novocaine
Numbin' my brain
Novocaine

So my partner down at the gallery
He been doin' the heavy juice
Eyes shiny as wax on tombstones
Tie her on me and turn her loose
He just lay there with no expression
A big smile, said, "It's all good.
We ridin' high, we gonna fly
On that embalming fluid"

No Novocaine
To ease my pain
Novocaine
Runnin' through my veins
Novocaine
Numbin' my brain
Novocaine

Now I saw off my shotgun
And I loaded my .32
If I see the dentist or hygienist
Tell you what I'm gonna do
Gonna aim and pull the trigger
Blow they heads completely off
Or better yet, I could make 'em sweat
For a vial full of that stuff

Of Novocaine
To ease their pain
Novocaine
Runnin' through they veins
Novocaine
Numbin' they brains
Novocaine
