Analysis of Evil Within
Victoria Lamphear 1968 (TN)
Walking around in silence
Trying to be what is wanted
Can it be done unheeded
Never is the answer
Evil within
No noise is allowed
The house is silent
A squeak is heard
Running is approaching
Sit in the corner unnoticed
Hoping it will pass
Evil within
Screaming erupts in the room
Cowering in the corner
Trying to hide
Eyes glaring at you
Still trying to hide
Evil within
The inevitable touches you
Curling up into a ball
Avoiding the unneccesary
These walls will not reveal
Outside never showing
Tears unseen
Cries never heard
Evil within
Not seen by others
Bruises and pain showing
Lies to hide
Smiles to conceal
Hurt not showing
Evil within
