Analysis of The Leprechaun

As I lay on the grass, looking up at the sky
A flash of light passes me by
Over the hill was a flash to a glow
Then in the sky appeared a rainbow
I was anxious to see what was over the hill
I had to go see. I couldn't stand still
As I walked on up and reached the hill top
Something caught my eye and I had to stop
At the bottom of the hill
What I saw myself
Looked like a little man
Or an Elf
He looked more like a Gremlin
Dressed all in green
He was the strangest little creature I'd ever seen
He wore green and gray socks with buckled boots
A neatly tied tie that went with his suit
This little man, he was quite fat
He wore his curly red hair stuffed under his hat
As he turned to look at me, he opened his mouth to say,
"Eh there Lad, how are you today?"
I replied to him back but then he began to scold
He then accused me of taking his precious gold
Giving me a confused look he said, "I'm sorry, Lad."
"I've been sent here to find something for my Dad."
"I don't mean to be abrupt but my father is a magician."
"He's misplaced his gold and now it is missing."
I flipped my hair back
Placed my hand on my belt
"Sorry little man, I wish I could help."
He says, "You can help me Lad. "
"Just help get my gold restored."
"And in return, I'll give you reward."
I replied, "That's fine with me!"
"Where should we begin?"
He said, "Let's start at the rainbow and we'll meet at the end."
At the end of the rainbow sat the pot of gold
Sitting next to an old tree
The Leprechaun raced over
"That pot of gold be for me!"
He turned to me said, "For doing me a favor and helping me with this quest, your reward is to be relieved from all stress."
"What kind of reward is that?"
"How is that fair?"
"Never mind, don't worry about it."
"I don't even care."
Doing is good deed is better than some reward or wish
It was fun tagging along and helping the Irish
He turned to look at me and say
"Good-bye my friend."
"I'm sure that one day, we will meet again."
