Analysis of Unrighteousness
Are the Jews any better off?
For Greeks and Jews are under sin;
Many Gentiles might scoff,
Claiming that you just cannot win.
Not a single one is righteous,
Because no one does understand;
About seeking God for justice,
Regretting they broke a command.
All have turned aside from the way,
Because they have become worthless;
Since everyone has gone astray,
Not a single one did confess.
For their throat is an open grave,
As they use their tongues to deceive;
Venom from their lips will enslave,
Anyone that tends to believe.
Their mouths are cursed with bitterness,
Their feet are swift in shedding blood;
Their paths run through the wilderness,
Misery immersed in a flood.
The way of peace they have known not,
No fear of God before their eyes;
For the power that they have sought,
Comes from Satan in a disguise.
We know that whatever the Law,
Who are under the Law it speaks;
Nonconforming will make them fall,
Into darkness whoever seeks.
So that every mouth may be blocked,
As the world held accountable;
To God whose verdict has been locked,
That will be non-negotiable.
For by the works under the Law,
No human will be justified;
Knowledge of sin causes a flaw,
Unless faith in the crucified.
