Analysis of The Capsule
The capsule, she saw with wonder,
Is an unguent to curb fevers of wonder
Wonder, though, is an answer to one
Prayer at a time, wonder tears flowing
At beauty, wonder a father who has
Passed’s call to remember as sages
Remember all the gifts given under
Heaven, at creative forces, at our universe
These she felt were wonders that all should be taught to hold as dear
As rain on parched soil, as clouds blocking rare, but terrible and too
Hot a sun. Wonder one’s eyes widening
And pointing in every cardinal direction
To history’s alms giving to haggard poor.
So to wonder any vision given, to hold them dear.
