Analysis of Spiritual Power Prayer
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
I bow my knees to the Father,
Of our Savior Jesus Christ;
Our Lord and our Brother,
Was on a cross and sacrificed.
Every family in Heaven,
And on the earth who has been named;
His glory that has been given,
That His riches have been proclaimed.
He may grant you strengthened with might,
With the power through His Spirit;
Giving you wisdom for insight,
Of everything that you merit.
So that Christ may dwell in your heart,
Be rooted and grounded in love;
Allowing your faith to impart,
Behooved by blessings from above.
It gives you strength to comprehend,
With all the saints through length and depth;
And to how far it may just end,
As well as the height and the width.
To know the love of Jesus Christ,
Surpasses knowledge and wisdom;
That you are filled being enticed,
Having the thoughts of His Kingdom.
For He is able to do far more,
Than all that we think, or we ask;
No matter of the type of chore,
How big or little is the task.
To be the glory of the church,
In Christ through each generation;
Forever in within your search,
As prayer strengthens your foundation.
