Analysis of I HAVE A DREAM

JaQuiondia Banks 1990 (MILWAUKEE, WI)

I Have a Dream
I have a dream, bigger than money can buy
I want to help those within my community to grow wings and fly
Provide them with other means to survive
Giving them purpose and meaning to strive
To know that poverty is not the only way of life
How society condemn our way of strife
How we live in a world of no peace, violence, and crime
Unfortunately, this is the life I must settle for in the meantime
I have a dream, bigger than money can buy
To get those less fortunate off the streets
Provide them with shelter and food to eat
Supply them with other means to make ends meet
I am going to do so, even if it has to come from me
No matter how fortunate I get
I was once there, and I could never forget
Giving back to my community is my life purpose
I will do it with pride, and I will do it with earnest
I have a dream, bigger than money can buy
