Analysis of Covid
The anguish
Despair in the voices I hear
They are masqueraded but I know they exist
I feel it
I sense it
The uneasiness, the buzz, headaches so slight
Sporadic but the whirl of laments are heard
Felt through the air
Like vibrations of dark beings
Soulless, needing pity
Silent and yet we feel for all
Not knowing names
Not knowing what will become
Anger
Anger for those faces too
Despair
The confusion of what should be and yet we blame
We blame ourselves, our weaknesses
We put on the masks to overcome unpredictable surges
So many masks on so many days..

About this poem
I wrote this as a result of my mixed emotions after once again listening to the news and how Covid was affecting our lives. It is a slab of emotions and ideas of these troubling times not only of mine but how I sense others are feeling as well..
