Analysis of Second Chance

Janice Altschuler 1975 (New York)

I can’t live the same life I lived before
I spent two weeks knocking on deaths door
By the grace of god I didn’t die
Is it to much to ask the reason why
If there’s a meaning a purpose I need to know
So I can decide which direction I need to go
I’m looking for guidance for strength I pray
To peacefully survive another day
I have been given the gift of a second chance
Please tell me how my life I can enhance
It’s time to do what’s best for me
Although I’m not sure what that might be
I’m looking towards the future leaving the past behind
The road to happiness I know I can find
