Analysis of Black Magic (Lyrics)

jody l cooke 2021 (north carolina)

I was walking down a lonely road, looking at the skies’ above me. I was down on my luck, when it came to love; I had no one to hold me.

Black magic you put a spell on me, black magic won’t you let me be. I feel hypnotized, I see the flames in her eyes, I was so blind I could not see.

Then suddenly I saw a candle glow, lighting her face she calls to me. And I know there is no turning back, she has me now, I know I’ll make it somehow.

Black magic you put a spell on me, black magic won’t you let me be. I feel hypnotized, I see the flames in her eyes, I was so blind I could not see.

You know she’s been here before, haunting me until the end. And I feel her pain burning deep inside me, I know now I cannot win.

Black magic you put a spell on me, black magic won’t you let me be. I feel hypnotized, I see the flames in her eyes, I was so blind I could not see.
