Analysis of your not alone

jody l cooke 2021 (north carolina)

your not  alone

as the hours slowly tics away
with the cigar smoke filling
up the room to hide  all away it
gloom a glass of whiskey
 and music playing a slow
tune

calling on the phone
knowing no one at home
a ghostly whisper letting
you know your not alone

a chill in the air
knowing someone
is standing there
that you cant see
thinking how can this be
shadows in the night
that fade in the light
as you hold on to
your chair you
call out but no
one is there

calling on the phone
knowing no one at home
a ghostly whisper letting
you know your not alone
