Analysis of GROUND ZERO
jody l cooke 2021 (north carolina)
Out of the lonely darkness
A soul cries for a love that
Has weakened or died, but
There is a twist of fate when
I look into your eyes of
Smoke filled dreams that
Dance upon my soul.
That feels my head with
Your lies of angel's wings
That glow all around me,
As they softly fall to the
Ground.
And when I open up my
Eyes all I see is a reflection
Of you in me. With many
Painted murals on how life
Could be as I start back to
Ground Zero.
