Analysis of tidal forces

Even in the sunlight this head
is aware of the night waiting
for her chance,

while the heart ever seeks
the invisible moon.

Tidal forces, cleaving,
pain rules from behind the silence,
by division.

From birth, stars map
their course, growing planets
placing me on the

event horizon,
trust the only particle
having escape velocity.

All those days I chose silence
and all I did, was helping noone −
trust the only word
that set me free.

Hang I did, above the chasm,
for trust was the bridge
I could not build.

Yesterday broke for a moment
and trust
sent me a star (lifelong) −

in the body,
heart casually beating,
the cold head put itself to rest
in your galaxy and finally answered

About this poem

This poem was written in a period I was strugglinmg top keep my self out of depression and beginning to realize I had chosen wrong strategies for a long period of time. My wife has always stood by me (as I helped her fight the fight). The original poem is written in Dutch, which I translated into English myself.
