Analysis of Evil Men
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Eat honey because it is good,
The drippings are sweet to your taste;
Knowing wisdom just as you should,
Adhere to your mind like a paste.
Know that wisdom such to your soul,
If you find will be your future;
Allows hope to be in control,
Never to be called a moocher.
A moocher is a wicked man,
That will dwell against the righteous;
Taking advantage is his plan,
As immorally licentious.
For the righteous fall seven times,
But the wicked constantly fall;
For all their swindling of their crimes,
Stumbling when trying to enthrall.
Do not rejoice when your foe fails,
Letting your heart not to be glad;
Rather pray for him on what ails,
Assisting him not to be sad.
Lest the Lord sees will be displeased,
He turns away with His anger;
In time His choler will be eased,
If confessed His wrath will languor.
Fret not yourself of evildoers,
Nor envious of the wicked;
Rather be righteous pursuers,
So that your past is acquitted.
The evil man has no outlook,
The wicked lamp will be put out;
For their names are not in the book,
Because in the Lord they have doubt.
