Analysis of Rebellious Deliverance
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Who makes a way in the sea,
A path in mighty waters;
That believers can be free,
For their sons and daughters.
Who brings chariot and horse,
Drowns armies of warriors;
They lie down to stay the course,
Scouts are sent as couriers.
They shall not rise till the dawn,
The fire is extinguished;
When the quenched wick is gone,
As the new path is distinguished.
Remember not former things,
Nor consider things of old;
Only of what the Lord brings,
As His plan starts to unfold.
Behold, He does a new thing,
And now it is springing on;
Do you know what it will bring?
Perceiving of a new dawn.
He makes way through the desert,
Guiding through the wilderness;
A pathway that will divert,
For avoiding any stress.
The wild beast will honor,
For He gives water to drink;
And those being a fawner,
That their minds take time to think.
The people whom He did form,
That they might declare His praise;
Through misfortune and the norm,
In honor to Him always.
