Analysis of A Restoration
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
When the Lord had restored,
The fortunes of Zion;
It was like a reward,
Capturing a lion.
Then we filled with laughter,
Our tongue shouts of joy;
Knowing the hereafter,
Eternally deploy.
The Lord has done great things,
For us and we are glad;
Because the joy it brings,
No reason to be sad.
Restore our fortunes,
As the steams in the south;
Giving good intentions,
Fills joy in our mouth.
Those who sow all in tears,
Shouts of joy they shall reap;
A comfort without fears,
Having a restful sleep.
He who goes out weeping,
Bearing seed for sowing;
Shouts of joy for reaping,
With sheaves in its showing.
