Analysis of Emotional muttering

Jessica OPry 1984 (Washington)

In the night she find's the hopeful imagination of what may become, the wicked dreams of things that have been, and the fairytale playing on a tiny projector in front of her eyes that plays the most magnificent lie of today, those are the thoughts of a soul trapped within, that to this day she has never see the light because she's trapped in an institution inside of herself, Wondering blankly around trying every door to escape, to no avail but she find's an odd peace in it, like when you have no feeling or emotion at all, you stare endlessly into the colors of life, you don't really see what's around you, so people think you ignore them, they are technically Right, but to her it's not ignoring, it's the lack of ability to see past the blindness life has given her to see the things that others find that make life not so dreary, in the night she loves closing her eyes the most, that is when she finally feels like she is free to see all the details of life that has a smile on her face as she lay silent and deep within her subconscious!

About this poem

This poem simply shows a state I went through lost in myself, not knowing how to break free except at night in my dreams, an abusive past led me to these thoughts and they are raw unfiltered in the moment feelings that I broke free from and feel others can relate to!
