Analysis of SINGING SONGS OF EXPECTATION
Dr. Idowu James ADEKUNLE 1976 (Lagos)
Singing songs of expectation
The earth pilgrim band goes
Marching to the Promised Land
Rides upon the storming Wind
Till the faithful beneath its shade.
The earth beauty fades
The sun is sinking fast
The daylight dies
The end of toil and gloom has come.
Onward faithful soldiers go
Where no night of doubt and sorrow is
When the grave music sounds
From Eternal God of all creations.
Alleluia! The song redemption
Sweetest rest-day for the souls
Of life’s toil and care
Charming all earth’s griefs away.
