Analysis of I Loved the Leopard in Her

I loved the leopard in her
That always hunted alone
I knew my hunter rarely slept
I knew the sweats of never-slumber

I loved the leopard in her
Her clawing fits and heaves
Her muscled-back that undulates
I hear her snarling still

I loved the leopard in her
Who knew the smell of fear
Her haunches swayed
in rippled rhythm
Over the helpless snow

I loved the leopard in her
Her purring warmth
Her melodious growl
Beneath the jealous moon

The beast that stalked the night
The laugh that shook the sun
I loved the wanton prowler
Who  gave a thought to me
