Analysis of Count on me.

Heather Lydia Thornhill 1981 (Manchester)

As the sun was felt through the window
and the sky decorated with a rainbow
you numbered your thoughts for the day
and on my lap, your head did lay.

I stroked your hair - whispy and full
as your truths and victories did mull
and waited for you to leave my care
stand on your own and make it out there.

But not yet I sighed on this lazy day,
time was ours and not time to play
until fully charged and you were away,
away on your journey; to join me again one day.
