Analysis of Poor Girls
Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)
Your movement was met with great resistance
Though followed and praised by lots of kittens
Yes, I was wrong so count me too
And here’s how I’ll get back at you
I’ll lie and say it’s all your fault
I was the victim of assault
I didn’t want to do it with him
But came for a raise and couldn’t resist it
Another position would have been fine
Until I could see he meant my behind
I guess since he paid me that makes me a whore
But for a little more money; I’d have done so much more
Don’t tell my husband, he doesn’t need to know
We still have to pay for our place at the shore
