Analysis of True Security
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Rise, you women who are at ease,
Hear my voice, complacent daughters;
Give ear to my speech if you please,
Come to the heavenly waters.
Many days and years be troubled,
For at that time you will shudder;
Disasters are to be doubled,
That will make your speech to stutter.
Fear, you women who are at ease,
Strip for making yourselves be bare;
Stop tempting men trying to tease,
And be sincere show that you care.
Beat your breasts for a pleasant field,
For the dirt of a fruitful vine;
Growing offspring that you should yield,
Celebrate the Holy Divine.
Because the palace has forsaken,
Populous city deserted;
The guards in the towers taken,
The women whom they had flirted.
Until the Spirit poured on high,
The wilderness a fruitful field;
Complacent women start to cry,
For the offspring, they start to yield.
Justice will dwell in the forest,
Righteousness abides bearing fruit;
For their labor the women rest,
Because they have grown a new root.
Live in peaceful habitation,
Secured dwelling resting places;
Bringing in a new creation,
Compassion that God embraces.
Hail will come down on the forest,
The town will be in a low place;
As the Lord finishes His quest,
For all that the women could face.
Bless you, who sow by the waters,
As the ox and donkey roam free;
Allowing the sons and daughters,
And by becoming righteously.
