Analysis of True Vine
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Jesus Christ is the true vine,
The Father is the farmer;
As the fruit of the divine,
Reaping glory and honor.
Every branch within Christ,
That does not bear any fruit;
From the vine sacrificed,
Saving the rest from the root.
You have been already cleaned,
Because of the Word as spoken;
Allowing you to have leaned,
Righteously and unbroken.
Abide in Christ be with you,
For branches bear not on own;
Because the vine remains true,
Branches cannot bear alone.
Whoever abides in Christ,
As He will abide in them;
Bearing fruit that is enticed,
And God shall never condemn.
Anyone not to abide,
The Father will throw away;
While it withered and died,
Then burned since it went astray.
His Word must abide in you,
So ask whatever you want;
Helping you to continue,
Wherever that you may jaunt.
The Father is glorified,
For as much fruit that you bear;
Enriched by the crucified.
Through fertilizer to share.
As the Father has loved Christ,
So has Jesus Christ loved you;
He paid for sins that were priced,
Giving life to continue.
Keep His commandments spoken,
For remaining in His love;
A bond not to be broken,
While flowing from above.
