Analysis of The First Date

Jorrella Yuki 2000 (Malolos, Bulacan)

They say, your first date is going to be full of silent moments
Cause it's frightening, you don't know what to expect.
But when I was with you, I think automatically laugh loudly
Every piece of you is so lovely.

I'm sorry if you catch me in deep thoughts
Too many times I thought “I'm not lost”
Cause the keeper of the key to my heart, came back like a boss
I've learned to turn down the people that aren't good to me if you are the cause.

I've always loved taking care of other people, that's my place of value.
But until now, I still can't believe how I adore being taken care of, by you.
The first time I sneaked out, believe me, I didn't feel any anxiety.
Cause I know, my home, my safest place, was with me.

I'm still laughing remembering how cold we were when we stepped outside the e-trike.
I may not say it often but I found the person I like.
Thank you for being patient with me until the end of the night,
You are the first person I'll think of every time lightning will strike.
