Analysis of Amen

Joshua Rayburn 1984 (Kansas city Missouri)

He provided the best he could
She didn't think she deserved it but knew he would,
Life wouldn't be what he wished
That all went away every time they kissed,
He learned her so
Promised to never let her go,
He brushed and braided her hair
He showed her that he really did care,
She didn't know what was real
He loved her still,
For her he changed his ways
Always promising her better days,
One day she was out of his life
The next she was his wife,
Wanting her to live he started to pray
Lord show us the way,
She still didn't realize what was love
He will love her even when he's above,
She lost a lot and couldn't cope
He was at the end of his rope,
He knew he'd lose himself for a minute
Praying he begged God to fix it,
Weak and strong he was both
Loving with a heart of Gold,
Thinking there is only one way out
Nobody knew what he was talking about,
Feeling there was only one thing left
That feeling was death,
On the inside out he felt like he could go no more
Praying and praying more and more,
Loving her is who he was,  can't you see
His last words to her was Love Me,
God held him down
Running the devil out of town,
She will love him again
Amen and Amen!
