Analysis of Cigarette and drink
Sometimes when I'm alone all I do is think
While I sit here with my cigarettes and drink
Memories start to make their presence known in my mind
People I once knew, people I loved, all left behind
They never knew, they never had a clue
How much I wanted them there, how much I cared
But I just couldn't stay, fear got in the way
I thought they'd hurt me first, I thought that I was cursed
But then reality sets in and the pain starts again
I'm sitting here alone, with this drink and cigarette
Fighting back tears filled with memories I can't forget
Thinking there's no one who can love this feeling away
There's nobody who cares enough to make me stay
I'm sitting here with this drink and cigarette
The only friends I haven't abandoned yet
The only ones that won't let me leave
The only ones that I don't need
Sometimes when I'm alone, all I do is think
I'm ready to walk away from this cigarette and drink
I need to leave this bar behind and let the road clear my mind
Make a fresh start and tend to this old heart
