Analysis of Muse
Jamie Lawrence 1978 (Mass)
The elusive muse
Briefly captured
the poet revels
In his rapture
Should she escape
Her earthly bonds
Her influence be
forever gone
He holds her tight
And breathes it in
The inspiration
Consuming him
One moment more
He begs the muse
His urgent plea
She can’t refuse
Then finally
The moment’s gone
The muse escapes
To pass it on
