Analysis of Escapism is Beyond Me

The sky speaks a tongue of hues
In shades of purple, pink, red and blue
A man sings songs to the heavens
Do-Re-Mi floats into a bar
Head over shoulders and finds Fa

The notes dock a boat
Set sail on a grassy pathway
Where rocks on pastures
Are picked up
And hurled at me

Bruises bleed ink
Splotches on parchment
As a severed finger
Traces what the eyes have seen

Hades at the pearly gates
Elicits scratching of heads
This I cannot unsee
A cornea clawed out
Eyeball tossed from a cloud

*Ploop* it drops
On the unbeknownst
The vision of a God
Now in the palm of a hand
Of someone that cannot see
