Analysis of solace

You take a deep breath, a step forward,
And the scenery changes

Finding yourself in the cradle of mesmerizing nature,
Or perhaps the peace of the hills.

Continuing your journey, you breathe again, another step forward.

This time around, you find yourself in the comfort of your home,
Warm lights highlighting your elegant imperfections.

Another deep breath and a step towards your comfort,
The scenery changing yet again.

You see people you long for,
People who make you feel special,
People who make you laugh at something so absurd you find yourself gasping for air.

As you inhale, walk towards that one place which calms you down.
The scenery remains unchanged this time.

For you, dear, have reached your solace.
