Analysis of 12:31 am
perhaps I should have called
or learned to communicate without starting an argument
perhaps I should have appreciated you more
especially on the days when I had no one else but you
perhaps I should have moved on from my ex girlfriend
and not keep bringing her name up during our conversations
perhaps I should have booked a space in my calendar to fly over to your country
or even meet you halfway
perhaps I should have been less jealous
and not so possessive
perhaps I should have set boundaries with the people who made you feel insecure
and maybe I should’ve trusted you more
perhaps someone will treat you better
and possibly love you harder
perhaps there’ll be a day you’ll no longer think of me
if that day hasn’t already arrived of course
perhaps there will be someone you’ll always adore from the depth of your heart
and maybe that person is you
