Analysis of Grieving

Jasmine Prater 2003 (Oklahoma City)

I thought I would be considered weak to grieve
Not to just a loss
But to also losing me.

Losing myself
Is a loss I can never get over.
And it'll just hurt worse as I will get older.

I thought I would be considered weak to grieve
Not to just a loss
But to also never finding me.

Finding myself
Is what I've always tried to do.
Now I don't know how

And neither do you.
