Analysis of Good News from God
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
God promised beforehand,
In the Holy Scriptures;
His Son born in the land,
As the prophet lectures.
His Son come from the seed,
Of David to descend;
A Savior that we need,
As slaves to sin could end.
The Son of God declares,
Power to the Spirit;
Resurrection He shares,
Through your faith and merit.
Through whom we have received,
Apostleship and grace;
In faith that we believed,
And feeling His embrace.
For the sake of His name,
To Jesus we belong;
Enabled to proclaim,
All day and all night long.
